What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files your browser saves when you visit a website. Local storage is space in your browser where a site keeps your settings on your own device.
What we use
Everything we use is first-party: it belongs to our site and can’t be read by other sites. The full list is in the table above.
- Essential: needed for the site to work in your language; it can’t be switched off from within the site.
- Preferences: remember your theme, saved cars and comparison list on your device.
- Functional: links your request to the campaign that brought you to us, if any, so we know which of our ads are useful.
Analytics and advertising
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure, in aggregate, how many visits we get, which pages are viewed most and how fast the site loads. Neither sets cookies or stores anything in your browser, and neither tracks you across other sites, which is why they are not in the table above. Visits are told apart by a one-way hash that resets every day and does not reveal who you are.
We use no advertising cookies or third-party trackers. If we ever add a tool that needs cookies, it will only run after you consent, and we will add its name, purpose and duration to this page.
Your control
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Doing so resets the language and theme to their defaults and clears your saved cars and comparison list; it does not affect requests you have already sent.
